The Claddagh Paving Management Team
Our founder, Jarlath Dorney, was born in 1966 in Tipperary
about 80 miles from Galway. Dorney started working with pavers in
Ireland at a young age. Always being attracted to the United States,
the young Jarlath still remembers the day at ten years old when he
saw his first U.S. dollar. In 1994, he followed his dreams and moved
his European paver experience to the United States where Dorney worked
for others in the paver industry until starting his own company in
1998, combining his European and American interlocking paver experience.
Dorney's objective is to develop true Claddagh style lasting “friendships”
by delivering quality installation of pavers that will bring satisfaction
to our customers for years to come. His home is located near our office
in Rainbow.
In 2006, Linda Petty joined Claddagh Paving Corporation as
our Chief Financial Officer after retirement from 35 years of banking
experience with Wells Fargo. Her many years of sales, financial and
management experience provides a wide spectrum of valuable tools to
continue to grow and develop our company. With her vision, we have
formalized our Company Goal to "manage a growing professional company
committed to excellent customer service, delivered by a caring team
that produces first class results". To help us strive for continuous
improvement as our company grows, we are installing an employee goal
setting process in addition to management review processes. Linda
and her husband live in Rainbow, California.
Doug Sandford, our Senior Sales Representative, graduated from UC
Santa Barbara. He has eight years in the interlocking paver industry
and has been ICPI certified since the beginning. Doug joined Claddagh
Paving's sales team in 2007 and quickly developed relationships with
project managers, estimators, superintendents, homeowners, and suppliers
based on his desire to help value engineer their projects while
providing excellent customer service. He is passionate about meeting and
exceeding the needs of our clients while navigating the delicate balance
between cost and design factors on overy project, so critical in today's
market. Doug and his wife live in San Marcos.
